Day 2

Today's entry will be short and sweet. You walk in the sun and heat and humidity for 4 hours and see how much you feel like writing. ;) We're not as young as we used to be and the young ones have been asleep for a while. We should have been sleeping a long time ago.

Today we went to the Indianapolis Zoo. It's a smallish zoo but I will say it is an excellent zoo for kids. Cayden got his animal fix like from a "traditional" zoo but also got to see a dolphin show for the first time. He LOVED it! I loved it too. It reminded me of my many trips to Sea World when I was younger. (Yes, I am aware that this is not a dolphin. All we have is video of the dolphins and frankly I'm just WAY too tired to deal with that right now. So, you'll have to settle for one of the sea lions right beside the dolphin show).

There's a nice children's zoo area.

The zoo also has a nice playground. But, it was way too hot for that. Cayden spent his time at the splash area. It took some coaxing, but once he got in he didn't want to get out.

At the entrance to the zoo there is a butterfly house and a gorgeous garden.

It was a great time.

Tomorrow the weather is going to be very hot again and iffy. So, we are braving the Children's Museum. 5 floors of craziness. We are in for another long day. But, at least this time we'll be in air conditioning.

P.S. - Grammy, you were right. Liam has rolled over - from back to belly - twice since we've been gone.
