Cayden wishes you a Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas from the Monk Family! I hope everyone is having a very joyous holiday season. Cayden wants to wish you all a Merry Christmas. He is absolutely in love with Christmas. Jay and I joked that we should change his name to something Christmas-y. We can't wait to see how he does opening gifts in a few days. A small update on Cayden: The poor little guy is still fighting illness. Ever since that ear infection at around his birthday he just can't seem to shake sickness. Once the ear infection was gone, he started another cold and eventually a cough and it has been hanging around ever since. He doesn't seem to mind, though. He runs around like he feels great. He won't let anything stop him! :o) He is also getting his molars in on top and the bottom ones are soon to follow. Those don't seem to bother him either. Aside from chewing on EVERYTHING you'd never know he was getting more teeth. He had his first haircut yesterday. As much as I wanted to fight it, it was time. It was hanging over his ears and in his eyes. He did so good. One of us had to stand there to keep him from trying to climb out of the chair. But, the woman who cut his hair gave him a few things to play with and he played and didn't even seem to pay attention to the fact that she was coming at him with scissors. :o) I'll post pictures of our little handsome guy soon - probably after Christmas with a couple pics from the next couple days. Again, we hope you are having a wonderful Christmas. Please enjoy the few pictures below, and don't forget to check out the website for more pics!

Here is Cayden with Santa. He enjoyed their vist. He has no fear and will pretty much go to anyone who gives him a smile.

Cayden LOVES Christmas lights. He is immediately drawn to any lights he sees. If we are in a store, we must go and check out the Christmas trees. And, he will point out the window at night at all of the houses decorated with lights. Every morning when he comes into the living room he is delighted to see that "his Christmas tree" is still there!

Cayden is learning to be very helpful around the house these days. Here is a day where he "helped" Daddy wrap some presents.
