Road Trip: Day 3, part 1

Remember yesterday I said we were going shopping today because it was supposed to rain? Look like rain to you? I'm not complaining.
After breakfast at "Old MacDonald's", we were off to Bronner's. We knew Cayden would be excited to have a little Christmas in the summertime.

Frosty? Is that you?

"You've got me on the 'nice list', right?"

Then we headed to Frankenmuth. We ran into this guy after we'd finished lunch at Zehnder's Cafe. We opted for the cafe instead of the resturant because the food is just as good but for half the price.

"Cheese?"
"Aww man, another one?"

"Am I done posing for these ridiculous pictures yet??"

"Fine. But this is the last one!"
Frankenmuth was fun and so pretty (more pictures of Frankenmuth to follow). After a short rest back at the hotel, we had dinner (and a cashew caramel custard - yum!) at Carver's. We did a little shopping at the outlets across the street. And then Cayden and Jay were able to go swimming again before bed. This time Cayden spent more time in the water.

We did decide to head up to Mackinac Island tomorrow. It's a bit of a drive, but since we're not likely to have to chance to get up there again for a while, we decided to go for it. All the weather reports say cloudy with only a 20-30% chance of rain and highs right around 70. We'll take it. Of course, we all know that weather reports and I haven't been getting along this week. We shall see.

Thanks for checking in!
