I'll admit, spring has never been my favorite season. I've always been partial to fall. What does that say about me? I prefer gray days and the drying up and dying of things to the green, fresh rebirth of spring? If I'm brutally honest - yeah. I'm one of those "prepare for the worst and if something better happens you'll be pleasantly surprised" kind of people. That's easier than being disappointed at best, devastated at worst. Not a very pleasant way to go through life, I know. Hold on to your pity, though. Over the past year or so my perspective has begun to change. Lately I've been thinking how truly thankful I am for second chances, new beginnings. Spring is one of that best examples I can think of new beginnings and I'm learning to appreciate it more and more. Thank you, God for second chances, for new beginnings, for spring.
